House Leaves Washington Until After Election Day. Corrupt Ken Calvert Wraps Up Year 33.

September 16, 2026

The House wrapped up its final scheduled voting day before Election Day Wednesday, sending members home until after voters head to the polls in November. For Corrupt Ken Calvert, that means another pre-election session in the books after more than 33 years in Congress.

Calvert first took office on January 3, 1993. But back when Calvert was relatively new to Washington, he had a very different view about how long members of Congress should stick around.

In 1995, Calvert voted for a constitutional amendment that would have limited members of Congress to 12 years in office.

Calvert has now served nearly three times as long as the limit he once supported. So before Corrupt Ken Calvert heads home for the next seven weeks, here’s a pretty simple question:

Does Corrupt Ken Calvert still believe members of Congress should be limited to 12 years in office?

And if not, when did he change his mind?
